DoT gives time to operators for complying with EIR

The Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Jyotiraditya Scindia announced in the Rajya Sabha that carriers will have to comply by March 31 to make sure that their respective networks are provisioned with Equipment Identification Register (EIR). The operators have to report the compliance by April 15, 2009.
