Airtel not ready to provide 1799 plan!

Its been almost 3 months now. I have called the customer care almost 20-25 times.
I got a call from Airtel telling me that since I am a valuable customer(?!?), they are offering a new 1799 plan with 4mbps speed. I agreed, told them to change my plan. I was promised a weeks time. 5 days later, i get a call from them, saying its not possible at my address.
a week later I again get their call. I asked them to first confirm if they can provide or not. They say yes its possible. 5 days later…same thing. Not possible. This has been the case since past 3 months. I have got their call almost 5 times now. Every time the same thing! Disappointing!

I am surprised how such a big company cannot install a small device for someone who is ready to pay! Don’t think there’s a word called "customer satisfaction" in their dictionary!

If ANYONE FROM AIRTEL IS READING THIS, PLEASE TAKE NOTE.

Certain Websites Not Loading

Hi Guys,
whats up? I am on Snow Leopard OS and using the 4MBPS plan. While I get killer download speeds, I have issues with certain websites especially Facebook. Basically some sites do not load and I have to keep reloading the website. I thought it was a Safari issue but on downloading Google Chrome, I still have the same problem. I have used OPEN DNS setting as well but still no solution. Any suggestions?

wasnt a problem at my end with cookies or anything, got a very specific reason for it being blocked

Airtel New Connection Enquiry

I have thought of getting Airtel broadband for a long time, but many things make me change my mind. The first and most important is the fact that when making an inquiry about a new connection, no one from Airtel’s side contacts you back.
You would think that because its a new connection they want more customers, but they obviously dont value their new customers, as if they did they would get in contact with them about the new connection. I have called twice, and both times the response I got from the customer service agent is that someone will give you a call back.

If this is what happens when you havent got the connection, wonder what happens when you have a connection and problem occur????

How can the companies term there plans as unlimited when the clear limit is set under the Fup…cant we do something about this??? Hello first of all i would like to thank all the contributors for there contribution to this forum. anyways my question here it goes.
Can anybody please tell me how is reliance in terms of broadband service do they supply speed as they promised???

i have heard from many peoples that most of the time there servers are down….and there is a pathetic logging in system everytime you start your pc..
can you please suggest whether i should go for mtnl or reliance(i am changing my connection from airtel due to FUP)..

i am having a beetal 450 bxi ADSL 2 + router . i want to access me Reliance broadband using this router but could not able to configure it .
i tried to configure (i.e. 192.168.1.1) my router but it is of no help.
Can some one tell me how to configure my router for relaince broadband.

Hello i am a hardcore online gamer.

I’ve used Tikona and BSNL but the pings, spikes, flushes are pathetic, which prompted me to change my ISP further.

I’m thinkin of buying reliance connection. Can u let me know what pings do you get with it and which is the optimal plan for gaming, (i dont download, only play).

Reliance Broadband best plan ?

Location: Kolkata, West Bengal.

Looking to switch to reliance BB from BSNL.

I am currently using BSNL Home1000 but there has been a huge amount of latency fluctuation, packet loss, congestion and bad service over the last year.

BSNL Home 1000 –
average speed is 1.5-2Mbps
Nighttime unlimited
daytime download limited to 5gb (Rs. 7 penalty per 10mb after that)

My budget is roughly under Rs. 1400 per month.

Combo749, Combo1099 and NightboosterZoom1 seem like good options.

I’ve also thought about using bsnl home500 for nightime usage (2mbps, unlimited, 2am-8am) and using a different isp during the day.

I’m thinking of reliance because it doesn’t have FUP like airtel and i’ve heard that the connection quality is better than bsnl.

Does anyone have any advice on this matter ?
Anyone else use reliance from kolkata ?
